The same Trinitarian mystery of unity in diversity applies to the doctrine of marriage as it does to the Church. The family created by this sacrament is a small church. The Orthodox Church teaches that man is made in the image of the Trinity , and he is not intended by God to live alone, but in a family, except in special cases. And just as God blessed the first family, commanding Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, so the Church now gives its blessing to the union of man and woman. The mystery of marriage, in the Church, gives a man and a woman the possibility to become one spirit and one flesh in a way which no human love can provide by itself. The Holy Spirit is given so that what has begun on earth is fulfilled and continues most perfectly in the Kingdom of God. St John Chrysostom held that procreation is a normal feature of marriage, but not essential to it. Marriage does not always lead to child-bearing, although there is the word of God which says, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. So the purpose of chastity takes precedence, especially now, when the whole world is filled with our kind. At the beginning, the procreation of children was desirable, so that each person might leave a memorial of his life
They have demonstrated repeatedly a manipulative atmosphere targeting young people in particular while preaching rank heresy. This new film is a continuation of those false teachings and practices. I pray for the young people in that church that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and thus come to know the true Holy Spirit. This addendum features a number of false teachings of Bethel Church in Redding, CA that I was not able to include in the 3-Part series.

The first reference to the Apostles’ Creed comes in a letter from the Council of Milan in the year It is considered a baptismal creed since it is used in that rite and is one of the most basic statements of the Christian faith. I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty: From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost: The Forgiveness of sins: The Resurrection of the body, And the Life everlasting. The orthodox, led by St. Or to put it another way, if the Father is eternal, the Son must be co-eternal with him, since a father is not a father without a son.

Share The marks of the Church are certain unmistakeable signs, or distinctive characteristics which render the Church easily recognizable to all, and clearly distinguish it from every other religious society, especially from those which claim to be Christian in doctrine and origin. That such external signs are necessary to the true Church is plain from the aim and the purpose which Christ had in view when He made His revelation and founded a Church.
The purpose of the redemption was the salvation of men. Hence, Christ made known the truths which men must heed and obey. He established a Church to which He committed the care and the exposition of these truths, and, consequently He made it obligatory on all men that they should know and hear it Matthew It is obvious that this Church, which takes the place of Christ, and is to carry on His work by gathering men into its fold and saving their souls, must be evidently discernible to all.
There must be no doubt as to which is the true Church of Christ, the one which has received, and has preserved intact the Revelation which He gave it for man’s salvation. Were it otherwise the purpose of the Redemption would be frustrated, the blood of the Saviour shed in vain, and man’s eternal destination at the mercy of chance.

Greetings to all and welcome to our website for The Unity of the Spirit. December 25, Christmas I have recently posted the teaching from our December fellowship entitled: Christ’s Birth – God’s Faithfulness which you can access here link. As Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of the Jesus Christ, this teaching is a reminder of how the first-century believers understood and interpreted this event. They saw it as the keeping of a promise God had made to his people.
Unity, known informally as Unity Church, is a New Thought Christian organization that publishes the Daily Word devotional publication. It describes itself as a “positive, practical Christianity” which “teach[es].
It has its foundation of faith and practice in the Scriptures and the vital experience of its constituents is scripturally oriented. It is built upon the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The doctrines and practices of the church are based upon His teachings. The denomination stands firmly for justification by faith, the priesthood of believers, the authority of the Bible, religious freedom, and the separation of church and state. It stands against abuses and extravagance of ecclesiastical ritualism and dogmatism.
The Church of God subscribes to the following five foundational Christian doctrines: The inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible. The virgin birth and complete deity of Christ. The atoning sacrifice of Christ’s death for the sins of the world. The literal resurrection of the body. Christ’s second coming in bodily form to earth.
These doctrines include the inspiration and authority of the Word of God; the Trinity; the deity and virgin birth of Jesus Christ; salvation by faith in the atoning death of Christ; His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father; the ministry of the Holy Spirit; the second coming of Christ; and the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ.
Members of NAE subscribe to a common statement of faith. The Church of God can be described as positioned in the mainstream of Evangelical Protestantism.
Top of page Introduction: See the bibliography at the end. Church of Christ members are among the most sincere students of the Bible. The message which ignited the Wesleyan revival was the announcement that God through Christ can forgive a person their sins, transform them, free them from inbred sin, enable them to live a holy life, and bear witness to their heart that they are indeed a child of God. The message was based on the Scriptures, was verified in personal experience, and came not only in word but in the power of the Spirit. It was dynamic and contagious, and was communicated from heart to heart and from land to land.
It adapted itself to and gave new vitality and purpose to various kinds of Church Organisations. The Wesleyan Methodist Church believes that to spread scriptural holiness throughout every land involves the entire church of Christ in mission to the world, including the following: Sharing the divine revelation of full salvation through Christ as recorded in the Holy Scriptures so as to evangelise the lost and to minister redemptively to human society and its Institutions.
We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.
The following are terms descriptive of who Wesleyans are and why they do what they do. Beliefs, practices, priorities, and our mission are to be anchored in clear biblical teachings. In Christ is found both newness of life and the highest and clearest example for godliness. People made new in Christ find Him to be the source of faith, hope, and love in both the inner life and in our outward actions engaging a world desperate for hope and life. Making disciples is a clear mandate from Christ.
